Canada is worlds biggest producer and exporter of canary seeds. Were sourcing canary seeds from Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Alberta. After harvesting them in September and early October, we store it carefully to ensure that it retains its high quality for export. To solve the problem of tiny hairs of the seeds, Canadian researchers have developed a new, hairless variety called Canario™, which has been commercially produced since ***7. Canario™ is expected to replace traditional canary seed over the next few years, and it increases the volume of seed per shipping container by *2 percent and eliminates the oiling and processing steps that are needed with less advanced varieties.
